The Evans surname has been in Arbon Valley from its earliest days. Brothers Thomas (“T.B.” or “Tom”), Lorenzo (“Ren”) applied for water rights in 1894, taking up “squatters rights.”  Their baby brother Dave joined them in 1898. At least five families of Dave’s descendants, Dave’s grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, still live in the valley today. There is road named after them, just south of the Bible Church.
